Diana Hergert, Holland professional linehaul driver at ourĀ Jackson, MIĀ terminal remembers how she decided to become a truck driver. "I was having a mid-life crisis. It was time for a change. At first I thought Accounting would be a good job choice, but that is the classic desk job with a boss sitting nearby. I wanted more independence and adventure, so I looked into trucking."
And there was no looking back! Diana has now been a truck driver for 18 years and has driven for Holland for almost 4 of those years. "It has been an adventure from day one," Diana recalled. "Learning to backup...learning to go up mountains...an adventure!"
Diana made herself a promise when she became a truck driver, "I was determined I was going to be one of the best. It's what I do. I enjoy it."
When asked if she would encourage other women to drive for Holland, Diana answered enthusiastically, "Yes, I would definitely encourage women to drive for Holland. It's a very good place to work. The benefits are good. It's a rewarding job at the end of the day. It makes me feel great about me."Ā
