Holland Champions “Trucking Moves America Forward”

Did you know that more than 80 percent of the communities in the United States rely solely on trucking for the delivery of their goods? How about the fact that, annually, trucking accounts for about 70% of all freight transported in the U.S.?

Holland is proud to serve as a leader in the transportation industry. This industry currently employs nearly 70 million people and serves as the circulatory system for our nation's economy . . . but sometimes, it's easy to forget the true significance of such a deeply-rooted and necessary element of our economy.

That's why we at Holland have joined together with “Trucking Moves America Forward” (TMAF), a movement dedicated to creating a positive image and sharing the importance of the trucking industry today. TMAF seeks “to ensure that policymakers and the public understand the importance of the trucking industry to the nation’s economy.”

No matter what walk of life, we all depend on trucks to deliver life’s essentials and so much more.  Trucks do move America forward, and we are here to share it.

To promote our industry and the TMAF, Holland has proudly wrapped twenty of our newest trailers with the TMAF message, “It takes 7 million people to move America.”

“We hope this message reaches hundreds of thousands of Americans enhancing their understanding and appreciation for the many hardworking professional drivers in the trucking industry,” said Holland president Scott Ware.

Ware added, “Holland employees and drivers work to bring industry-leading quality next-day service to our customers. It is fitting for Holland professional drivers to share the importance of trucking in our economy with these twenty new rolling billboards. Our drivers will take great pride in showcasing their expertise while delivering Holland customers’ goods across our great service region.”

An interruption in trucking service can quickly grind our way of life to a halt, and unfortunately, we often don't appreciate the true importance of this service until something goes awry. Together, Holland and TMAF are committed to keeping the spirit and significance of this great industry alive and well in our nation's collective consciousness.
